JCP ALP

Keep the equipment behind retail operations in view.

JCP ALP organizes the lifecycle of retail assets across stores, warehouses and offices. Connect an equipment record with its location, service history and next lifecycle action, from deployment through maintenance, transfer and retirement.

Asset lifecycle management

A device has a working life beyond its purchase order.

A kiosk moves from staging into a store, receives maintenance and may later be redeployed to another location. Its asset record should follow those changes. ALP provides the asset-management framework for keeping identity, location and lifecycle history together. That gives the people responsible for equipment a common operational record to work from when coordinating service, transfers and end-of-life decisions.

Inside JCP ALP

What you can do.

01 / Capability

A location-aware asset register

Organize equipment records across retail locations, warehouses and offices. Connect an asset's identity with its location and condition so operations teams can distinguish what is deployed, held in staging or awaiting attention.

Explore your use case

Deployment and movement tracking

Follow assets from procurement and staging into active use, with barcode or RFID identification where included in scope. Preserve responsibility and movement history as equipment is transferred or redeployed.

Maintenance coordination

Bring preventive maintenance and corrective repair into the lifecycle record. Keep scheduled service, reported issues and maintenance follow-up connected to the equipment that needs attention and the teams responsible for it.

Retirement and disposal history

Record the decisions and actions that take an asset out of service. A documented retirement workflow helps operational and finance teams review lifecycle changes without relying only on informal local records.

The product in practice

How it works.

Follow the decisions and handoffs that bring JCP ALP into your operation.

  1. 01

    Establish the equipment record

Identify the asset, location and responsible owner. Bring the information needed for the selected asset classes into a consistent register, including the identification approach used at each location.

  2. 02

    Follow service and movement

Update the record as equipment enters use, moves between locations or requires maintenance. Keep service work and location changes associated with the same asset identity.

  3. 03

    Decide the next lifecycle action

Use the equipment history to coordinate continued service, repair, redeployment or retirement. Record the chosen action so the next team inherits the current lifecycle state.

In your working day

Where it fits.

Start with the situation your team needs to address. Then map the capabilities and connections around it.

Manage store technology

Maintain an equipment register for POS devices, kiosks and digital signage, with ownership and maintenance context available when a store reports an issue.

Coordinate equipment transfers

Follow a spare or redeployed unit from warehouse staging to its destination, keeping the movement linked to its asset identity and responsible location.

Review aging equipment

Bring service history and current condition into a repair-or-retire discussion, then document the selected lifecycle action for operations and finance follow-up.

A little more detail

Your questions, answered.

Explore what JCP ALP could mean for your team.

Ask our team
Which equipment can be included?

The asset-management scope can cover retail technology, fixtures and operational equipment. Define the asset classes, required record fields and service processes with the team; identification and maintenance requirements vary by equipment type.

Is an asset register the same as sellable inventory?

No. ALP concerns equipment used to operate the business and its lifecycle. Sellable inventory concerns merchandise available for customers. A warehouse may hold both, but the records and operational responsibilities serve different purposes.

How does ALP connect with store and warehouse processes?

Its scope is intended to support location-aware asset visibility across those operations. Confirm the required system connections, barcode or RFID approach, maintenance workflow and available modules before defining your implementation.
